Hummel #123 "Max and Moritz", TMK 4 Interested?? Make me an offer, I’m easy!! This 5.25” high Hummel double figurine has no chips, mars, repairs, or crazing, it is in Mint condition. It bears TMK #4, (Three Line Mark 1963-1972) created by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in the 1940s from one of Sister Maria’s sketches and originally named “Good Friends”. Sister Maria had a love of children and sketched them in various situations. These BFFs appear to be enjoying each other’s company. The older boy has his arm around the younger one (brothers??). They are both decked out in Tyrolean lederhosen and bow ties. An extremely colorful and detailed porcelain figurine and made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory. There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted piece - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines which never diminishes over the ages even with slight damage.
