Hummel #197/2/0 “Be Patient" TMK 2 Interested?? Make me an offer, I’m easy!! This figurine is 4.25" tall and has no cracks, crazing or blemishes, it is in MINT Condition. The trademark places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1949-1959. WOW!! It was first crafted by master sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1948 from Sister Maria’s sketches. It has been called “Mother of Ducks”. Sister Maria had a love of children and sketched them in various situations. This little girl was feeding her little duckies from a bowl, and they were pestering her to hurry! Considering this piece is over 70 years old it is still an extremely colorful and detailed porcelain figurine made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory so very long ago! There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted figure - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines. What a wonderful, adorable gift it would make!
