Hummel #65/I “Farewell" TMK 6
Look it over!! I am open to all offers, I read and reply to each one, and am generally easy to work with!
This figurine is 4.75" tall and has no cracks, crazing or blemishes, it is in MINT Condition. The trademark (6 Missing Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1979-89. She was designed by Arthur Moeller in 1937 and redesigned by Gerhard Skrobek in 1966. She was retired and the mold broken in 1993. Originally called “Goodbye” and “So Long”.
Sister Hummel had a love of children and sketched them in various situations. This little girl is waving goodbye (maybe to Grandparents?) while sitting next to her favorite lamb and carrying her basket. How adorable is this piece! It is over 50 years old and is still an extremely colorful and detailed porcelain figurine made by the fabulous craftsmen at the Goebel factory so very long ago! There is such beautiful detail in this hand painted figure - so typical of the quality of Goebel's porcelain figurines.
What a wonderful, vintage gift or keepsake it would make!
