Hummel “Ride into Christmas” #396 6” TMK 5 Interested?? I am open to all offers, I read and reply to each one, and am generally easy to work with! This is the larger 6” piece with the fashioned candle in the lantern. This figurine has no chips, mars, repairs or crazing it is in perfect shape. The trademark means it was created Circa 1969 – 1979. Sister Maria had a love of children, and a whimsical nature, sketching them in various situations. As always, Sister Maria draws to depict the daily items and special events in children's lives. It's a tradition to visit the forest each year and search for a special Christmas tree. This young lad has found the perfect evergreen, with it resting in his basket, he uses his lantern to guide his way back home. Ride Into Christmas was first designed by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in 1970. It should be noted that Skrobek considered this piece his favorite design of the hundreds he modeled during his many years at Goebel.
