plpietryga @barbarastark411 I asked an estate dealer and he said I would get more from a collector and Poshmark would not be where he would go to sell a piece like this that it was worth far more so I have been thinking about deleting it on this website. If you have a Hummel I would definitely go to a dealer to find out the value.

ann6337 @plpietryga I have several Hummels that were my mother’s. I have contacted auctioneers, dealers and local antiques and consignment stores. No one would take them. They all say that there is no market for them. Have you found dealers. I am in MD.

plpietryga @ann6337 l asked an estate dealer and he gave me information in Michigan. I haven’t had the time to contact them yet…that will be a winter project. He did say there are a new group of young millennials that are interested in these things again.

lindakelley330 I have always been told when a Hummel is chipped or broken it loses most of it’s value. I saw a chip on the tip of the umbrella.

plpietryga @lindakelley330 that is actually not a chip. That point of the umbrella is made like that since it rest and touches whatever you set it on, ie: table, counter, etc. so it stays flat on the surface

bmcolman Says large but no dimension given. I too have one of these, both the boy and the girl. The umbrella of both sits and fits the palm of my hand. So some 6” span. The boy does not have a flat tip for umbrella to rest on flat surface. Umbrella does not reach to edge of piece on either boy or the girl.

pixiegirl56 Whoever is saying that the tip of the umbrella is chipped, well it’s not. I have a whole collection of W.Germany hummers and the umbrella to on mine looks exactly the same

janetbts92 I bought this for 170+shipping today. I think this price is way off. but it does depend on the year as well. your best bet is to look into Hummel groups for help with the price.
