laurieriales1 @elleemann Actually, that bag is called Belmont Satchel. It's taller than a doctors bag style. I no longer have that bag but I can keep my eyes looking for one if you like. There is a navy one on PM. I will share it with you to give you an idea of what it looks like. 😊 I will tell you this, the Belmont only came out for a very short time. Not just for one year but for only one season! They are very rare!

laurieriales1 @marlosy Could very well of been. Coach started in NYC in 1941 but the Classic Collection started in the last if the '60s-early '70s. These were all made in NYC. They didn't manufacture out of the US for a few years later😊

laurieriales1 @rgray0515 Pen is the ultimate enemy! Depending if it's interior or exterior makes a difference. Interior, soaking, scrubbing and blotting the suede interior does wonders. If it's surface pen on the interior suede, I use an emery board and sand the surface slightly until I see the mark come off.

laurieriales1 @rgray0515 Continued-- exterior is almost impossible to remove ink without disturbing the original color. Never sand the exterior. I only feel comfortable with bags with ink due to the fact I redye most of my rehabs. The smooth leather exterior makes it hard to remove. I've used hairspray and sometimes acetone to loosen the ink stain. Use caution, it's almost inevitable, it will lift the purse dye.Unfortunately, the era of these bags ('70s - '90s), ball pens were their worst enemy😁.

nvnadine When I looked it up it said to use a white eraser and brush. I tried it and it didn't really work. 😂Do I went out and bought a Suade cleaning kit and it still didn't work. Have any ideas? Lol please help! 😀😀

laurieriales1 @nvnadine Hi Nadine😊. I looked at your pink Coach bag. I personally have never cleaned a suede bag. But, the Classic collection of bags I restore all have the raw suede interiors. This era of bags are dated back to the '70s and are frequently stained inside as well as out. The leather in that collection was a glove tanned leather, made for durability. Not all leathers are the same so be cautious cleaning your bag.

I think I finally found a great leather cleaner but I still haven't figured out how to clean this darn Suade bag. Lol I thought about using just a mild soap and water but I'm not sure if it's OK to get Suade wet. How do you clean the inside of your bags that are Suade? Thanks again

laurieriales1 @nvnadine Cont. If I had this bag and all else failed, I would wash with Dawn liquid detergent. I would not emerge the bag into water. Just use a clean white cloth, soap and water and clean each corner. Be sure to rinse each corner well. Brush suede with a soft brush. Let air dry. Brush again.

laurieriales1 @nvnadine I'm sorry, those comments were meant to be together. They limit the wording. I do emerge my bags in a deep bath but remember the leather in the Classic collection is likely to be a much thicker, durable leather than the suede they used to accent your bag😉

laurieriales1 @myrio Funny you should ask me. 😌. I have two bags myself with zipper issues. First find you a shoe cobbler you can trust. I mean one that works with leather/vintage pieces. Make sure if the zipper is replaced, it's the same finish (color). I myself, am looking for a "parts" bag for each of mine. (Authentic Coach bags that can't be saved, so I use for parts).😉 Good Luck!

ssd0331 I'm looking for different styles. I use to carry mainly Coach bags in the 80's and then stopped around 1990. So I missed the Madison bags with the caviar leather, made in Italy. They are so beautiful. I also like the Bonnie Cashin bags with the kiss lock in the front. Do you paint your bags in the restoration process? Or is it just layers and layers of conditioner?

ssd0331 I'm want to put together a bundle: 1. What colors do you have in the Large Plaza Court? 2. What styles are in red and are they the same red? I prefer a darker red. Also do you have burgundy (or they call it oxblood now). 3. Do you have any style like a men's messenger bag? About 10x10 and about 2-3" deep. No hardware in front; zip top. I bought one recently but it was small only about 8.5 x 9 x 2-too small. It was called "Metro" and # was 9433. Black messenger would be great.

iamayel Hey girl - sorry for not replying. Item is not authentic therefore price reflects that now. I checked and it was made in Korea which is quite unfortunate since I bought it for triple the price. I've removed all "authenticity" call outs and I'm just getting rid of it because it's just sitting collecting dust.

laurieriales1 @patciesielczyk I don't know what to say. I'm sorry you feel that way. I felt pretty alone when I was holding an empty box on my door step. The box was labeled damaged and empty when it arrived at my post office (confirmed with the supervisors signature). They tried to search at the post offices it was routed through with verbal descriptions with no luck. They said they could be anywhere and likely not together. Feel free to file the claim and collect the insurance. I just want my bag back😔.

kaide_nj @laurieriales1 whoa! You do amazing work! My all time fav was Willis in British Tan that i had but the weight of the brass hardware got to me after awhile..lol. I have a navy "Janice", I think, that is in pretty good condition if you are looking to add to your collection. Let me know if you would like me tag you on it.

laurieriales1 @cecepoon Thank you! I can check my inventory when I get home for the Station Bag. I currently do not have any Regina bags. As far as washing the bags. Janice should be fine. As long as it says glove tanned leather. The Legacy wristlet I wouldn't.😊
