hilleliza Hi there, I saw your question on a CL listing about determining authenticity and I thought I'd find you really fast to give you the best tip. You want to look at the sole. If you go a dept store and inspect red bottoms, you will see that they are tapered along the edge of the sole. Absolutely no replicas do this. Older, "vintage" CL doesn't abide by this rule but it works for all the newer shoes, which are their signature anyway (like the pigalle). Anyway, hope that helped a bit.

babranamen Hey! That girl blocked me because I wrote a long post citing what I take issue with. Her shoes are fake. I promise you this. Not only is the "L" wrong (it should almost close), but there is an extra stitching (poor quality at that) that doesn't belong. I almost bought a pair that was similar and thank god I noticed. I reported both of them. I think she knew because of how cheap she was selling them. Plus no box or dust cover? Who throws that stuff away?!

babranamen @southerncharm hey! Did you ever find out about the loubi's ? I should mention something that somebody incorrectly pointed out on that posting, the "vero cuoio" is actually on some styles. I didn't want you to dismiss a pair as fakes if it has that stamp. Now out the 8 pairs I own, only one has that stamp, and I actually bought them at Barney's so I know they are legit. Plus somebody comment that the bottom looks like paper. It is really hard to tell from pix, but obviously you are looking for a worn leather under the red ( suede like). There are really two things that threw me off; the "L" on the sole looks wrong, and the stitching looked like poor quality. I am dying to know if you had them authenticated !
