I do not deserve this vtg Van Raalte black lacy slip dress chemise circa 1960s

This beauty of a full nylon slip created in black by Van Raalte c. late 1950's, early 60s is one of the top of the line, with lined lace cups trimmed in chiffon and a gorgeous lace/chiffon hemline. Van Raalte set a high quality standard, and is known to this day for elaborate detail and workmanship. They created and trademarked many lingerie fabrics. This particular slip is made of their "suavette," an opaque, yet light and delicate fabric. The ribbon straps are front adjusting with metal sliders. Slip has a V-neckline, it and the entire top of the garment all the way around is trimmed in double layered black chiffon. Cups are unstructured, made of black lace and lined in black tricot. Support comes from empire waistline seam beneath the bust. The A-line silhouette falls in gentle folds from the empire waist to the approximate knee length hem, which is a work of art in itself.
