Looking for this gown for my final MOB dress! Does the waist band hit at the waist or is it more empire? A number of reviews of this designer is to size up at least once. I am 5'3, 145, 38 B. Can you help me figure out if it will be way too big based on your assessment? Grateful in advance, Lisa in VT

My daughter who tried it is @5-4 / was about 145-150 and 36-38 B. It is not a high empire this the beaded belt was gorgeous The full length brand photo shows the cut a little better. I may have a photo of when she tried it on. It is so timeless and sophisticated.

@downeastdawn hahahaha! I’m 67 and my hair tie is perpetually in photographs! Did your daughter feel it was comfy or the lower empire waist cut into her at all?

@lgr55 she is VERY particular about the Feels- scratchy was one of her early toddler words. It has a nice lining then the layer of tulle so no scratchiness. She loved the dress but sadly never got to wear it because of Covid.

@downeastdawn ordered the last size 8 anywhere online for fit comparison. Strategy is I’ll know if your 12 will work depending on how tight the 8 is. I can then return the 8. I can’t return yours so I needed some benchmark. Make sense? Hoping you’ll hold on till the 8 arrives March 11th from Bloomies.
