IMPRESSIVE 1950's MUSTARD COLOR FUZZY FELT CAP + BOW WITH GOLD THREAD EDGING

This is a beautiful example of the hat fashions of the 1950s'! This small hat is made of very soft fuzzy felt in a gorgeous mustard color. The shape is asymmetrical, and the top of the crown is adorned with a unique large bow edged in gold threads. there are some rhinestoned at the center of the bow. Throughout the 1950s, ladies wore hats daily as a part of their attire as was a pair of gloves. Post war 1940’s and 1950’s saw many women choosing not to wear hats on a regular basis. To preserve its market, the millinery industry set about creating variety and extravagance. Generally speaking hats remained small and close to the head.
