Placement of Terrarium: Do not place on heat sensitive surfaces (i.e. antique furniture, plastic, carpet, etc...) Do not place the terrarium where it may receive direct sunlight. The heating pad uses positive temperature coefficient (PTC) ink technology, and its characteristic is that the resistivity increases as the temperature rises. When the resistivity reaches a certain level, the resistance will effectively block the current and prevent further heating of the material, avoiding overheating, achieving self-heating temperature control.
