I have been collecting all forms of hippo for the past 15 years. This is pretty much the first time using the power of online shopping to add to my collection. Hippo items are actually hard to find IRL so that’s why there aren’t hundreds of them(yet). Thanks to Poshmark, I’ve been able to add some unique new babes. I’m so happy with all of them! fatprincess_xl @bestalpacaever thank you!! My addiction started with Squishmallows and then I found all the squish plushies from Japan as prizes from the claw machine app Toreba. So I pretty much only collect the ones with the same mochi/squishy feel. Is the purple hippo you’re talking about the one in the front left side? That one is a lama-corn Squishmallow from Justice. I’ve added so many more since this picture was taken. I can’t wait to get them all together 😻😻😻😻

They’re called mendakos(Japanese for octopus) I have yellow, teal, purple, rainbow, and I have 3 in the baby size- pink, teal, purple. 😻😻😻😻 The big purple and rainbow are arriving Monday from my plushie dealer. She’s had them on hold for me for like a month.

amandahager719 hmmm. I see your hippo collection is mostly plushies and figurines (I have a similar giraffe obsession). what I dont see is shoes with a hippo on the sole, that come in a box with the same hippo (her name is hilda). would you have any interest, if I put a pair up? they're not shaped like hippos (though those do exist), but the sole and the box have Hilda. 💕
