Ilie Wacs Vtg. Skirt Suit Navy Woven w White Zipper and Buttons Detail. Like New

In incredible condition this beautifuly tailored skirt suit was designed by Ilie Wacs and manufactured in New York. Ilie fled the Nazis with his family ending up in NYC. He learned his trade from his tailor father and Ilie had a clear vision for design. He told WWD that he wanted to create suits and coats for women that were feminine, modern and the best tailoring techniques available. The jacket and skirt are fully lined and the skirt has a concealed zipper and hook and eye closure. The fabric, not specified with tags due to its age, feels like a worsted waffle weave wool. This suit still looks modern and fresh decades later. My retirement from business creates a void for wearing beautiful suits. Hopefully this suit will find a great home. It’s a US 10, but use measurements please: shoulder to shoulder seams Is 16 inches, armpit to armpit is 18 inches, sleeve length is 24 inches, jacket length is 23 inches. Skirt waist flat is 15 inches, hips 20 and length is 25 inches.
