taynell Hey girl, I have a quick question for ya. I know you’ve sold quite a bit of Boutique items on here & I’ve been thinking about doing it myself. So first off, would you recommend it as a good investment & where did you find dresses and/or “modest” clothes?? I can’t seem to find them here on Posh Wholesale. Any advice you could give me would be great. Thanks! 😄

_2ndtimearound_ @taynell hey! I’m kind of on the fence about Boutique items. I was getting my items from a Chinese manufacturer/wholesaler- there’s tons of them out there. You can find wholesalers on wish, aliexpress, etc., the only problem I have is that you have to wait 6-9 weeks for your items to come in & sometimes the quality is hit or miss. Also it’s hard to gauge what people will actually buy. I thought those stripe dresses I got would sell great but on most of them I only ended up getting my money back.

_2ndtimearound_ @taynell the floral dresses I sold were the biggest hit but the problem with those was I might order 3 green ones from the same company at the same time and they all come in different.(different shades of green, different materials, different pattern...) I would like to find a better wholesaler myself that doesn’t make you order 50 or 100 pieces of the same item. My experience so far has just been hit or miss.

_2ndtimearound_ @taynell I’ve not really wanted to invest a lot of money in it, honestly I’ve more or less just dabbled in it here and there. It’s very hard to find modest items that I think would sell as well. I wouldn’t sell anything that I personally wouldn’t wear and I know you wouldn’t either, so it makes it tough because your customer base is significantly smaller.

_2ndtimearound_ @taynell the last few things I sold recently in my boutique section were actually items that I bought for either me or one of my babies from a wholesaler and they ended up not working out for us. 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

_2ndtimearound_ @roberts_abigail hey! They actually emailed me about becoming one but They have an article about it on their blog. Just google “becoming a poshmark party host” and the first entry should be “Posh Parties: How to Become a Host” click on that and it’s a very informative article. They have a few requirements. There’s also a link to an application to apply to become a host near the bottom of the page. Good luck it’s super fun! Let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with!
