shosharuru Are you able to provide photos with waist and hip measurements? Which wash is this? And have they been washed/dried by you? Thanks!

taylorcf @shosharuru I have provided the wash and photos of which pair these are already. They are the Catherine Abilene. On I&W website there is a size chart if you go to this pair of jeans and it shows all of those measurements for you. :) I have washed and dried once or twice. They do not change size or shrink with that. I have my correct size in these also and haven’t lost any length or had any shrinkage

melahnknee Hi! So the measurements you posted are accurate for this pair of jeans? I know it can sometimes vary so just want to make sure the waist is 29.5

taylorcf @melahnknee I am not sure how they measure so I wouldn’t feel comfortable measuring and giving the wrong measurement. I was getting 33”?? I really don’t think I’m doing it right. I own many I+W jeans and find them to be true to size-ish except for these I need to size down 1. Im a true 27 in all jeans brands but require a 26 for these. So if you wear a 27 typically I would recommend sizing down as well. If you normally wear a 28, these would be good I think?

taylorcf @melahnknee when I measure my actual waist I’m a 26 but I also own these in a 26 and they’re too small. But I may lose weight so I’m keeping them lol. I hope this info helps!

melahnknee @taylorcf thanks for trying and commenting back! I ask bc it’s very hard to know if a pair of jeans will fit without getting measurements so a lot of listings include these otherwise it’s too risky to purchase. you basically go edge to edge waist with measuring tape and then double it, so the 33 waist you mentioned would be 16.5 across the waist. For comparison, a pant size 27 would be usually be 13.5 so that’s a big difference. Saying this with kindness just to let you know :))

taylorcf @melahnknee ohhh I got it!! Thank you so much for explaining. So I took the tape measure across the top like you said to do and I got 14.75 which x2 would be 29.5 which is exactly what the size chart says. So I would say the size chart is extremely accurate! So me wearing a size 26 in this same jean and my waist measuring 26” around, I’d say these are very true to size! But definitely run a bit looser than other I&W jeans. I hope this all helps :)
