In 1974 I sat at the Christian Dior atelier in Cannes as my mother was being fitted for an haute couture evening dress for the Cannes film festival It’s heavily hand beaded on silk - It’s a size small - she was 5 ft 7 “ and 125lbs- It’s in immaculate condition as the second time she wore it was at the 1976 Oscar’s ! The slip beneath ( which was meant to be worn in lieu of underwear is a celadon green the dress is a sea foam green ( pale green) The slip is sleeveless.
