In Tribute to Iris

Iris Apfel passed away in her Palm Beach home recently at the ripe young age of 102. She was an icon to many. A colourful light in the world. She dressed in a way that you couldn't help but smile at when you saw her. I started Frock of Ages inspired by Iris and just how transformative clothes can be. How the right, bright sweater can instantly lift your mood. How mixing colours straight our of a box of crayons could look so chic. How a vintage chunky turquoise statement necklace can strike up a conversation, and perhaps even, a friendship. I hope that we take a note from Iris and continue along the path of our own individuality and enjoy dressing up, and dressing loud. Being everything we want to be and living life to the fullest.
