Incredible 1960s Saks Fifth Avenue Rare Velvet Paisley Suit

The fabric is gorgeous, I knew I had to have it from across a room! It’s got texture to it, the paisleys are soft like velvet. Blazer: Boxy cut Fully lined 3 buttons Elbow darts Pocket flaps-no pockets Bracelet length sleeves Skirt: Waistband No lining Partial metal zipper, button on waistband 4 darts, slight gathers into waistband Tags say: Saks Fifth Avenue “The Phyllis Look”. Dry clean only. The skirt has ILGWU AFL-CIO union label. Suit is in good vintage condition, and presents even better! Left blazer sleeve lining must have come unstitched as it has been sewn up, so lining is a little smaller than the other sleeve. Label area is a bit discolored. Few slight discolorations but it’s really hard to see them due to the pattern. Discolorations MAY come out with cleaning, but I cannot guarantee it. Thread pull on top of collar left side, you may be able to snip off. Skirt probably had lining that was removed. There are a few thread pulls on the front of the skirt on the left side, you may be able to snip off, or pull through to other side, not obvious due to the fabulous print! Measurements taken with garments lying flat, doubled as appropriate. Measurements are of garments themselves, fabric is NOT stretchy! Skirt: Waist: 24.5”
