slewis234 @alexa4745 well is my pleasure in life to make a difference no matter how small in the lives of those who can't speak for themselves. I hope I can be an inspiration to others to get involved in some way however that might be. I go often to my local shelter and just talk to the dogs in the cages and I can tell in their eyes all they want is love! I wish I could bring them all home. Thank you for your caring for the animals as well. We can all make a difference.

alexa4745 That's so sweet! I have 5 rescue cats, one of them I recently adopted with special needs. My schnauzer just died in May :(. I also donate supplies (and money when I can) to my local no-kill shelter. We should all pitch in to help the less fortunate, I think. Animals are the best! :)

slewis234 omg 5 cats! you sound like my best friend. I call her the "cat lady". she lived in the country and at one time had about 20 cats. they all lived in the house except a couple and were very clean and did not smell. that seems to be a problem with some people's cats! I love cats but am allergic to them...well some of them. black cats seem to bother me the most and simease. I'm sure that's not spelled right.

slewis234 I love schnauzers too. Im so sorry you lost your sweet baby so recently. Oh, the heart aches for a long time when that happens. I'm glad you do things that help animals because I think that definitely makes one feel good inside and it helps heal some of the hurt of losing one. I never have much money to give so that's why I thought that my posh earnings would be a good place to start.

slewis234 I donated to the vet bills for one the other day that was found badly abused and chained to a fence of a house where the owner recently moved. I hate it that humans are so cruel. Well some of them ! We have a no kill shelter near and I love going there and talking to the dogs. You can see in their eyes that they yearn for someone to love them. I figure if I can love them a little it will make their days easier till someone gets them.

slewis234 me to say "in" on this particular dog. I thought well, wouldn't it be better for them to be able to be inside but also have space and time to play outside? you would think anyway. THat was not what they wanted and so I didn't get the sweet little dog. I was crushed! But then not long after that I found Annie. My little wire fox terrier in the pic. I love her so much. She's got such a beautiful and sweet spirit. So she's been a blessing to me.

strawdawg001 @slewis234 .....I'm working on a biz plan & further developing some skills for this grand idea I have that's aimed at helping over crowded shelters get dogs adopted faster & once I start making enough to pay the bills, I plan on becoming a certified therapy/service dog trainer...I have big big plans in utilizing this certificate...I mean BIG & I can't wait to get started!

slewis234 strawdawg001that sounds awesome. i'd love to hear more about it when you get further along. there are so many dogs and cats that are put to sleep every day because of overcrowding. I honestly get it but I think it's in human. I think there has to be more effort by everyone the shelters, society, business etc. They can preach spay and nuter but a lot of people don't have money to do that. there needs to be vets that will either offer it for free or supplement with monies they .

slewis234 can raise from fundraising or donations from business. there's not just one solution that is going to save these animals. we all have to work together. and honestly, i'm so tired of seeing all the black dogs being put to sleep and all the pit bulls because the shelters say they can't or won't adopt them out. it's just awful. i'm glad that you are putting efforts to helping out. that's inspirational to see. thank you very much. keep in touch

I was just online deciding which animals I can donate to this week and one of my rescue dogs was killed today at the shelter to empty a cage. They could not even give this precious boy the weekend. I'm broken hearted that so many are killed everyday. I am glad that I can help some. I just wish I could save them all. Thank you for putting it out there.

fairlygirly @yeah, I was pretty bummed :( I didn't even think about it when I bought those two opal cabs for my mother in law 😳 it's such a common way to buy jewelry... pick your setting and pick your stone, that it just didn't occur to me. And I still can't believe that manicure tools are allowed. That's odd. I would totally think they'd be "health and wellness" since hair brushes and things like that are. Lol who knows, I just work here ;)

fairlygirly I totally agree! It really bothers me when prohibited things that I know have been reported are not removed. When there's a closet selling a lot of counterfeit makeup, which can be really dangerous, I screen cap it and email it to Posh. I think they get annoyed by my emails, but it's not like it's just a children's shirt, counterfeit makeup can be really harmful :(

I try not to be in every bodies business but you know it's just wrong that no one seems to be removing the bad stuff yet having it in the rules for newbies that you can't list certain things. I'd love to list my gemstones and I don't believe they are craft supplies but posh says no it is and so that's that.

fairlygirly Yes, I completely agree! I never even thought those opals might be prohibited when I bought them... it's not like anyone can just glue them on a setting. There's a lot of skill and craftsmanship involved there. And it seems like such a normal way to shop for jewelry, by choosing your stone first. I just wish they had more moderators. Poshers do a good job of policing the community, but no one but Posh can remove an item.

Our children are a gift from God and it's such a blessing when we get to remember the happy times of being together isn't it. Both my sons are gone one lives about 3 hours away and the other lives about 15 min away but he's been working out of state for 2 years now so I don't see him often at all. He didn't even get home for Christmas last year and that was hard for me.

The hardest times are the ones you can't save. But holding them in your arms and loving them while they spend their last moments here is such an incredible blessing to me. Just to know they feel loved in those moments is just a gift from God. But it's incredible too when you can save one.
