Hello Kay , I think the reason is the LCD connectors are damaged and the digitizer and glass are still working fine regardless of the crack, and you can see in the second picture it says verizon and the imei refers to verizon thank you

kaystengoins If the LCD is not working, why can you hold it a certain way & it works just fine? I'm just curious, not sure how iPhones or iPads work.

westcountypicks LCD screen are flat sheet of pixels put together very carefully in a certain pattern they damaged Easley , what you got is distress crack that is not enough to get the LCD all white but rather disturb the pattern in this area and when you hold them in certain way you kinda put it back to the write pattern but when let go it goes back to the damaged position
