The inside of the knit is really soft against the skin and is thick and really stretchy. I have a pair of these in another color way. They are very high quality and made well as evidenced by the stripes that line up everywhere. The waist and cuffs are ribbed. Mine have lasted a long time and still look good. They are one of my favorite pairs for comfort and warmth. I even like to wear them under long skirts and trousers like long johns. The last picture with the long hoodie is an example of a comfy lounge wear outfit.
