How well does this repel water? I’m going backpacking and it usually rains so I need a good raincoat. If it soaks up water it will not work. I know it’s hard to find one that truly keep you dry, I usually wear a poncho as well.

@dodi989 hi there, I don’t believe I’ve been in a soaking prolonged rain storm with this jacket, i believe when I purchased years ago it was listed as “waterproof”, it is not Goretex tho. You could always add a weatherproof spray to it. It has minimal wear. Thanks!
