Commodore Hotel And underneath a street lamp, I met a southern belle Oh she took me to the river, where she cast her spell And in that southern moonlight, she sang this song so well If you'll be my Dixie chicken I'll be your Tennessee lamb And we can walk together down in Dixieland Down in Dixieland We made all the hotspots, my money flowed like wine Then the low-down southern whiskey, yea, began to fog my mind And I don't remember church bells, or the money i put down On the white picket fence

wolfemom65 What music he could have made and Little Feat was never the same without him. ..

nanasjewelbox I've seen them in concert 3x, enjoyed every single minute of all 3 even though it was after LG passed. Wish I had been able to see him perform but was too young. Even so, they're still worth checking out if near to you.

kitty2528 @nanasjewelbox We had tickets to their concert right before the crash. It was horrible. I adore Lowell George!

nanasjewelbox @kitty2528 Oh my! That's awful!! You must have been devastated! I was in 7th grade then, so I had heard some of the music, but too young to even think of going to a concert like this. We all loved "fatman in the bathtub" We thought it spoke to our 7th grade sense of humor, you know that special humor that includes potty jokes, fat jokes, gross adult nakedness, etc. Only the very next year I went to Bad Company concert, and they were pretty bad-ass

nanasjewelbox @kitty2528 2x I saw Little Feat in New Orleans, and I have to say, I thought they were all natives of the area. People treated them like native sons. They did the Jazzfest one year, so many people packed like sardines... The best place though was Tipitina's. Much much closer, sounded better, I could actually see the people on stage. That was a fantastic experience.
