It's soft, lightweight and has a cool hand touch. It's ever so slightly sheer and perfect for summer as it provides protection from the sun, but allows full breathability. I love these shirts for hiking and have them in many colors. Cut from 100% cotton fabric imported from Japan and made in the USA. Garment dyed for that lived in look and the fabric dries quickly. This style and color are no longer available as I purchased this many years ago directly from James Perse. This Style # WEK3348 has a deep scoop neck and a slimmer cut that hugs the body more than what's up on the website now--WEK3637 (crew neckline, slit hem and a longer, more relaxed fit).
