JCP Jean jacket denim button up long sleeves pockets 100% cotton tag is XL but ?

Super fun denim jacket by JCP. Size XL - but I think it is more a M. Long sleeves. Side buttons in back for making the waistline a little smaller. Button up the front. Two button pockets at chest. Side pockets open. Collared. Please see pictures with measuring tape for approximate measurements. Jacket is in good used condition.
