rachelle310 @kanderson1515 hi! I would say this is definitely slightly oversized. This could easily fit a medium and not be too tight. I am 5’5”, 36” chest and a 28” waist and it fits me like the stock photo. In my opinion, if you are a J.Crew small or medium, this jacket would not be too big or too small. I hope that helps!
