Vintage Set JMH Ireland .925 Sterling Silver and Green Onyx Heart Necklace Earrings and Bracelet Size 7 1/4 inch. All pieces are marked JMH Ireland.925 The necklace measures 18" long and the center is 2" wide. The post back dangle earrings are marked .925 on the post and backs. The earrings measure 1 1/4" long. A large green agate is set in the heart. Claddagh is the most traditional design in Ireland, said to have spread from the port city of Galway in the west of Ireland. Its motto is "Let Love and Friendship Reign," and it is said to have been exchanged as a sign of friendship and was passed down as a wedding ring in the past. In the center is a heart and crown motif, and a "hand" motif shaped to protect the heart. This is the basic shape, and you can enjoy a variety of designs.
