JOE LEDBETTER (b. 1975), 'Dragon Tongue', 2006 Limited Edition Metal Lunch Box / Lunchbox by dark horse Full color, embossed metal lunch box with one-way hinge, lid clasp and retracting carry handle. Dimension: 8" x 7" x 3-3/4". Creators: La-La Land Gallery, Los Angeles, CA. Produced by: Dark Horse, OR. Excellent condition. In September 2005 La-La Land Gallery of Los Angeles held a unique 'Custom Lunch Box Exhibit' featuring over 30 hip and well known artists. This show was called "HOT LUNCH LUNCHBOX ARTSHOW". Visitors to the gallery's website were able to vote on their favorite lunch box design based from this show. Dark Horse then saluted this growing "lowbrow' art movement by releasing a 100 Limited Edition series of the top seven "HOT LUNCH" lunch boxes. These top boxes were designed by artists: Shag, Gary Baseman, Joe Ledbetter, Greg Simkins, Amanda Visell, Kii Arens and Niagara . A Limited Edition of 100 were made for each of the 7 lunchbox designs and these were personally signed and numbered by each artist.
