Josh Clay - "A Passing Moment", acrylic on wood original painting, 10" x 24" x depth of 1 5/8", 2006
This painting was acquired in late 2006, approximately 18 years ago. It was acquired from "{open} Gallery" in Long Beach, California as part of Joshua Clay's solo exhibition, "Leave The Mystery Behind". "A Passing Moment" was the best painting in the exhibition. It was used on the show card and marketing materials for the show. I have uploaded an image of the showcard.
Please see my other listings. I acquired multiple from that show. If you like the others, please consider bundling them. If you purchase in a bundle, I'll give a 10% discount off the total. All three can be displayed as a stunning triptych.
The painting is gorgeous. The painting is unframed, but if you decide to get it professionally framed, it'll definitely be an impactful focal point for whichever room you decide to display it in. Nevertheless, because the painting has depth, it can alsobe displayed on a shelf, a mantle, desk, or table.
Mediums: Acrylic on wood
Size: 10 inches x 24 inches x 1 and 5/8 inches
Joshua Clay was gaining a lot of national attention during the 2000s. He was written up in Juxtapoz magazine, hired by alternative pop band Fall Out Boy for art design in their videos. He also worked for a time as a tattoo artist. His masterful "magnum opus" however was a massive private commission for an executive at Atlantic Records. Seek out his web site and take a look.
