alegria4rl Honey,y advice, get it appraised and insured, also protect the h**ll out of it.... That piece ladies is what we call 'vintage couture' and is probably a pretty penny; you can probably get a book and find a picture of a model with it ... As we all know, they do NOT do hand signed anything on tags anymore!

alegria4rl Honey, I would say its 'vintage' It's my opinion that it IS indeed real; I authenticate Chanel on two sites here. I would have to see it up front but I wouldNOT be wearing it out or you may be upset if you lost that BABY'

amyzetterlund @alegria4rl I have it on display. It is never touched or worn!!! It's ONLY to look at. But I use it as a decorative piece in my office! It makes me happy everyday! Nobody has access to it. But I'm calling my insurance company now! Lol I also have some jewelry that I need to insure so this is good to know and I will add my precious hat to it!!!!😘😘 much love to you!!!!

alegria4rl You can also contact Chanel in Paris.... They (sometimes) will purchase old pieces and can tell you how to authenticate their own price.. Ribbon frayed a tiny bit... DOT CUT IT!! Also probably from an estate sale and somewhere Down the line, Someone picked it up for probably $10 or little more maybe 10-30$ tops and then it ends up in someone else's hands & someone else's hands and now into yours or possibly someone just wanted to get rid of things after someone passed away. In addition, the ribbon on the tag is actually a little bit frayed but not notice to someone who doesn't really look at those things, the Beret Is in beautiful condition; it's stitching is a little bit stretched which also tells me that it has been worn or vintage very lightly because the oils from the hands have not damage the hat; it is in pristine condition condition. The label of Chanel has a little bit of fraying on it and it is also in pristine condition it is handwritten and possibly signed by Chanel but you would have to authenticate that. You should show posh!

amyzetterlund @alegria4rl my mouth is dropped open!! I hope that's her signature. I will not touch the frayed part. I've always seen where you shouldn't Alter any damages to old things. It changed the value. I cannot believe this. My husband wants me to sell it!! NOOOOO WAY!!!! Wow. Just wow. I'm in shock!

amyzetterlund @lilyanardo ill take some more pics and send them to you tomorrow. It's pretty big and pink blush on the inside. Provably foundation. Provably has oil in it. I'm not about to try anything!!! But lets see what you think. If that's ok!!! And thank you! This is my precious treasure of a lifetime! I love it! No way am I selling it!!!

lilyanardo I was thinking about what you should do and since it is rather large like you say. I think you should take to "the fabric doctors" here in highland park.. I believe they are located off lemon across from the whole foods there.. We have sent them business for some antique tapestry cleaning. I believe they have a dry cleaning process, which would be your best option!! I hope this helps!! :-)
