Hired a local with a Jeep, and offered him
an over the top Sweet deal for his time ~an entire day from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm. We
said : we don’t want any of the usual touristy
stuff, we want you to take us off track, take us
to the places you think are beautiful, we want to experience Jamaica on the inside~and So He
Did ~ and because it was a hot day, we ended the day early, paid him, then folded more $
and pressing into the palm of his hand, said
« Thank you for sharing your Jamaica with us,
it’s been great ~ no no, we decided to stop earlier today & that’s your money now.
And he just smiled «
« My wife will be surprised to see me
and happy that I’m home to eat
with my family. »
And that’s a standout memory of Jamaica !

Sheree. I am dying to try Jamaica for my next travel destination. I have traveled extensively. However, there are so many wondrous places yet to see.
