Japanese Hand Painted Kutani Plate Antique Taisho Period Porcelain Saucer with Geisha Scenes.  Early 20th century Japanese Porcelain saucer/ plates with a family or court members in a landscape or next to a lake or River. Made in the Kutani Region of Japan Circa 1900 to 1920 This plate is hand painted and gilded in warm oranges and apricots, green, and cool grayish blues. Very rich and cozy colors. The artwork depicts a pair of courtesans with a child in a natural setting with a lake and mountains in the background… Richly gilded and handpainted, the piece has very good detail and is in very good condition for its age with only some minor rubbing of the gold on the edges. Perfect for collectors, or to use as a sushi plate complete with sauce tray. The plates have Japanese characters which I am not able to make out. Plate: 8-3/8” in Diameter and 4-7/8” wide
