It is Japanese printed Tenugui, selected by akaihana. It is printed in special way, so that you can see the patterns in back side of fabric (not 100% like dyed ones though) instead of white blank color.
Tenugui is 100% cotton multipurpose materials, people in Japan use Tenugui as a hand towel, dish towel, handkerchief, wrapping, or materials for sewing and crafting. Whatever however you want, it's up to you! This Tenugui is made in Japan. It has selvages on both sides, and both ends of Tenugui are not finished. The hems are left unfinished because it dries faster since the water doesn't collect on a hem after washing. It will fray for a while, you can cut the string that came off, and eventually it should stop fraying maybe up to 1/4 - 1/3 inches or so. Some of Tenugui might be discolored the first time you wash them, so please be careful for the first few times when you wash them. :-)
Size: about 13" x 35 1/2" (about 33cm x 90cm)
