Japenese Maruni Co. Lacquerware Metal Inlaid Mother of Pearl MOP Peacock Wall Charger Circa 1940s A large burgundy lacquer ware metal plate, wall hanging or charger. The peacock design looks like it's created by inlaying pieces of metal and mother of pearl or abalone. It is in beautiful condition for the age. It's marked Metalware over Maruni. It is marked made in Japan. So may be made a bit later than 1940s. The back has two holes in the raised base with a wire hanger, so it was made to hang on the wall or used as an actual charger.
