Jay Strongwater is a designer whose current pieces are created by artisans in his New York atelier and Rhode Island production workshop. He began his career as a Jeweler in 1981 after catching attention over a necklace he made for his mother. He took samples of his big and bold pieces to department stores and his business came to life. His pieces have been seen on fashion runways, magazine covers, and prominent luxury jewelry counters across the country. In 1995, he made a jeweled encrusted picture frame from a few of his jewelry pieces which began his home collection. By 1998 his Jewels for the home became the primary object of his affections though he continues to pay homage to his jewelry designs with a few pieces. To this day his pieces are featured in his Gallery as well as Neiman Marcus. Some say that collecting heirloom jewelry pieces, like Jay Strongwater's, is special and that you should collect Vintage pieces while you can.
