My daughter is looking at a newer version of this costume for her dance solo but it is A LOT more expensive.. Is this true to size? And has it been laundered?

@auburngirl1971 size is good for a 7 to 8 year old on the slim side. Only worn for a total of 10 - 15 mins between the rehearsal and recital so not laundered.
