nicole_vand No, it's retail! But all factory items are based off retail items from (generally) the year before. This is the No.2 pencil I think. But it is retail. However the one you're looking for from factory may have be based off this one!

shopwithcmp Hi! Would you mind just taking a pic of the back of the skirt? I have these pencil skirts from a few years ago and I just want to see how the back stitching and back slit are to see if it's the same year I bought mine! Thanks!!

nicole_vand @shopwithcmp done! Also if you look on the inside of the skirt there is a tag, if it says sp 12, same season same year. I was a manger at j crew for years, if you ever want to know when it's from, there's a tag on the inside of every item with the season and year! Sp (spring) su (summer) ho (holiday) fa (fall). Hope this helps! Let me know if need any more pics!
