Jean Paul GAULTIER Vtg 1990s Iconic ROSE PRINT Red on Green - CARDIGAN ONLY

NOTE: This listing is for the CARDIGAN ONLY - the tank top is listed separately! Rare and elegant, this lightweight cardigan by Jean Paul Gaultier Maille Femme comes from his late ‘90s collection. Its trompe-l'œil rose print was just re-issued for Spring 2024 as part of the new TRÈS GAULTIER collection, but this is the original, vintage real deal - as favored by celebrities such as Bella Hadid and Emma Chamberlain. Instead of the more common mesh fabric, the cardigan is constructed of a silky stretch knit that feels great against your skin. Wear it over a simple black top for a casual look… or pair with the matching tank I have listed separately (pictured above) for a sophisticated combo that rises to any occasion! MEASUREMENTS (approximate) - laid flat and unstretched: - 27” length - 15” waist - 16.5” chest - 18” shoulders - 24.5” sleeve length SIGNS OF WEAR: - Good condition, wear consistent with age and moderate use - Slight spotting here and there - A few pulls - The hook-and-eye is loose and needs resewing - Shoulders stretched from hanging. This is very fixable - a variety of home solutions are offered online. - Water stains (photo 6, outlined in red). These happened when I tried to fix the stretched shoulders without wetting the entire garment. It’s washable, so be sure to get it completely wet first and the water stains will disappear. - As you can see from the photos, the imperfections are barely noticeable and do not detract from the beauty of the piece
