I think your dry cleaning is probably cheaper in Oregon... if you don't have a good dry cleaner, let me know and we can figure it out. It hasn't been worn in forever and I did clean it after I found it in my grandfathers closet but it has been a few years so it should be cleaned....let me know!

@anvydith Lets do this, I'll have it cleaned here where I have an overpriced but great dry cleaner who has done a great job in the past and I'll include the receipt in with the sweater. I'll actually check with two of them I've used in the past who specialize and will see who gives the best price. We can do it on the honor system and you can reimburse me if you feel it's fair.

How overpriced? Also, selling an item clean should be the owners responsibility not the buyer. It's not really cool to sell dirty items and expect people to pay for it after they purchase it. @vintagebaubles

@anvydith it's clean, it just could use another dry cleaning after removing it from its box. It's been vacuum stored after the last cleaning, like a wedding dress, since I wanted to make sure it was preserved. As I mentioned, it's why I had it listed at 50.00.. it's my error for accepting your offer before explaining the pricing. We can cancel the sale if you want since this wasn't clear

@anvydith the antique dry cleaner who I used originally is very pricy but they specialize in museum quality textiles. The other who I use for my vintage coats is generally 15-20 for a sweater.

@anvydith sorry! We crossed paths - there's no odor at all with the sweater- I like a wedding dress, i just think you always clean again after taking it out of the box .. like with anything from that period, its older and more fragile so a good specialty dry cleaner isn't a bad idea!

That's so unacceptable...no consignment store would accept something dosed with perfume😱😱 I wouldn't sell anything I wouldn't buy myself and in a condition I would purchase, it's just so wrong to sell something " trademarked forever!". And honestly, if you don't like it for any reason( fit, color etc) I'm more than happy to take it back. I look at this whole thing a bit like passing on pieces at a decent price.😀

@anvydith greetings! Just got the sweater back so it's ready for you to wear! I tried to fit in this advice related to the fur collar but it may not be as legible as I would have liked! If you take off the collar for cleaning or storage, it's attached by what seem to be a million tiny snaps. I position both sides and snap each bottom snap to begin... there are so many that it's easy to miss one and then end up having to do it again.. which although not hard, it's a bit tedious!

I also changed the bottom closure snaps as originally they were each hooks with a thread loop closure.. given the age of the sweater, it didn't seem durable. Let me know if you have any questions and enjoy! I hope you like it!
