The pocket is approximately 12½ inches deep. The purse is new & never used. It comes from a pet & smoke free home. There is on zippered pocket on the outside near the bottom of the purse. There is 1 zipper pocket on the inside. The purse comes with a chained & detachable small zippered pocket. The strap is still in the plastic wrap. Please see the photos for further details.
