From Joan & David, the much-loved, made-in-Italy, footwear brand by wife & husband team Joan & David Helpern. Until 2001, when Joan & David sold the company, its products were made in limited runs by small-factory artisans in Italy. The Couture styles were fashion-forward, made from top materials, and offered at a slightly higher price point. This is a women’s size 8M pair, ca. 1995-1997. Espresso suede with croc-embossed leather trim. Matte metallic gold leather lining. Faux-wood stacked leather heel, leather soles. Some wear on the soles, but heel taps show only the slightest wear.
