Joe St. Clair Art Glass Crimped Pink & White Small Paperweight

Joe St. Clair art glass small flat paperweight with pink and white variegated swirl design. Hand-blown glass with controlled bubbles between each crimped roll. The glass paperweight measures 2 7/8 inch diameter and stands about 2 inches high. The bottom is embossed with Joe St. Clair in upper case letters. There is no date. There is a black speck inside the glass - please see pictures. The St. Clair Glass was started in 1938 by Joe St. Clair. 3 years later, he was joined by his dad, John B. St. Clair (known as Pop) and 2 of his brothers, Bob and Paul. They produced some pressed glass mostly toothpick holders and other such novelties, but the paperweight novelty items are what they are famous for. At times, the family members worked together and at other times, they set up shop separately. C-45
