Hey @vintageprana - I really appreciate the counter offer but I think we are just too far apart here on price. I just can’t justify more for a used shoe I’m not sure will fit... happy holidays!

@ryanthony1 Understandable. I can't justify going down to $200 for a $1200 shoe that's slightly worn and cared for.

Can you please post a picture of the label on the inside of the shoe that shows size, model number etc? Very interested in these.

@vintageprana Just so you know, these are not crafted in London. That is a common misconception. John Lobb London, is still owned by the Lobb family, and they strictly make bespoke shoes (and some of the finest at that) in their shop on 9 St. James St in London. If these were from John Lobb Ltd, they would cost several thousand dollars and also be lasted to the feet of the individual who had commissioned them.

These are John Lobb "City ii" oxfords, and they are part of the ready-to-wear/made-to-order line of shoes by John Lobb Paris. The Lobb family sold John Lobb Paris to the Hermès group back in the 70s. Although John Lobb Paris has a bespoke offering as well, they are prohibited from directing offering it in the UK, per their agreement with the Lobb family.

While John Lobb Paris' bespoke shoes are crafted in their atelier in Paris, their ready-to-wear line are crafted in Edward Green's old factory in Northampton (not London.) I believe they used to have Crockett and Jones manufacturer them before that, also in Northampton.

Well, anyways, cheers and good luck on selling them. They're still beautiful shoes. I might recommend that you use a bar lacing pattern for a shoe as formal as an oxford. Cross lacing looks terrible on shoes with a closed lacing system, but it's fine for a derby or blucher.
