Texturised clam shells decorated with faux pearls & seaweed finished with four prong set rhinestones. The shells are in the Russian gold-tone plating Eugene Joseff developed for use under Hollywood lighting.These clip back earrings can be converted for pierced ears. Textured on the back and both earrings are stamped `Joseff`. Excellent Condition. Fashion designer to the stars, Eugene Joseff was famously known as `Joseff of Hollywood`. He designed the majority of jewellery used in Hollywood`s golden era movies such as Gone With The Wind, the original `A Star is Born`, Wizard of OZ, Casablanca, Around the World in Eighty Days & Cleopatra.
