These were too small for me. The waist measures 12.5 in with a good stretch in the whole short. The color lavender is gorgeous. The quality is excellent. It is Judy Blue afterall! I ended up hunting down a M. The big pockets are functional and can accommodate all the essentials. I know from experience you can definitely go purseless!
