Is that a scratch on the toe? And are they leather?

@ladykyb it’s not a scratch, it’s the seam. I posted a new picture so you can see it on both shoes. They are leather-ish... I would describe them as more of a jelly material because they are stretchy/bendy and don’t get that worn down look like leather.
