This floral spray brooch is a "many splendored thing"!
A confirmed Juliana (DeLizza & Elster), it showcases a combo of fancy touches such as large faux tourmaline or "watermelon" crystals, molded glass leaves more popularly referred to as "tutti frutti", and wide gilt leaves. Together, these elements make for a memorable, colorful floral presentation.
The brooch is featured in the book "Juliana Jewelry" by Ann Pitman, and described by the company owner, Frank DeLizza as an "abstract flower pin with brass petals and corrugated navettes".
The "corrugated navettes" actually look like the molded glass leaves in wide use during the early 20th century as part of tutti frutti jewelry. In our brooch, I see a trio, two golden topaz, and one ruby red in hue, tucked close to the wide gilt leaves in the center.
The gilt leaves look like fans, with scalloped trim and finely ridged surface. They are arranged in a wavy pattern and also tucked in between large stones.
