A Google search found this information: In 1967, designer Kenneth Jay Lane asked Frank DeLizza, designer and partner in the DeLizza & Elster company (D & E of Juliana Jewelry fame), to make a belt for him. D & E did, out of heart scrolls, mesh chain, a buckle and a hook. "It was what Mr. Lane was looking for," according to an account of the incident, in the book "Juliana Jewelry: The Last Generation" by authors Paula Knutson and Karla Wacker.
