Oakley Juliet sunglasses with original case & coin
First, this frame features Unobtainium earsocks and nosepads to grip your face. These help to provide added grip when wearing the Juliet.
Next, the Juliet features an adjustable frame with temple shocks, interchangeable nosebombs, and flex couplers that help to create the perfect fit.
Weighing between 39 and 44 grams depending on the generation, the Juliet is an average weight compared to other X-Metals. In comparison, metal Romeo sunglasses are slightly heavier, weighing 46 grams.
Finally, one of the most popular features of the Juliet is the iconic O symbol created when folding the sunglasses. You can see this in the image below, where the folded earstems create an Oakley O ellipsis from the front.

Hammerstems
It’s tough to talk about the Juliet without mentioning the iconic “Hammerstem” earstems.
These refer to the unique earstems that feature a bump-out or “hammer” out in the shape.

Oakley produced most Juliet sunglasses with straight earstems similar to what you’d find on the Romeo and other X-Metals. But, the Polished frame featured the hammerstem design that adds a more aggressive styling.
And because these hammerstem sunglasses are rarer, they are also more collectible.

I owned a silver polished pair years ago but they were stolen and I have a pair of X-Squared that I only wear on occasion that are polished black like this … I’m very interested in buying these but I’d like to see more photos of the glasses if possible

I had a pair of the women’s style. Either someone stole them or they’re lost in my stuff somewhere. I hope that is the case they are not easy to find and didn’t realize they were that expensive nowadays. I’ve had mine for a long time your glasses are very nice. I do have my coin in my vault box, but no glasses… Wish me luck I can’t afford these at the time.
