So I'm showing off a little here. My sweet husband bought me this. It's an original vanity from the San Francisco Fox Theatre. The theatre was opened in the 20's but closed in 1963 at which time it was demolished. As the golden wrecking ball (I kid you not!) waited to start to swing they held a quick auction. This dear piece was one of the lucky items to survive. So it's now my turn to show her love. My husband thinks it's nice to sit there & text. I'm not letting him get comfortable. ❤❤️❤

sassypants652 As a side note... it’s sinful to 1) allow such a magnificent bldg to deteriorate to the point of demolition and 2) to actually destroy it. That saddens me beyond words. Can you imagine the stories... “if walls could talk”!

arizonamel @sassypants652 someone decided it was just too gaudy and was able to make it go away. It was San Francisco! How could it be too gaudy? I'm glad most of the other Fox Theatres are still around. They've been repurposed. I'm hoping Lucille Ball sat and powdered her nose on it! That may be my story. Lol
